I took this subject under Dr. Ronald Randles. The subject is a brush up of probability concepts, starting from the very basics i.e : Discrete Probability. Single variate , multivariate. Important Distributions such as Gaussian, Beta, Gamma , uniform. Z transform. Continuous probability , Central Limit Theorem . The subject consisted of 6 quizes, 3 exams and 3 assignments. the total marks are obtained from 400. This course had one drawback of absolute grading, but it is easy to score good marks.

This subject , part 1 , should be taken by students who want to do research in Machine learning, Vision , Neural Nets. Also very important for Data mining people.

I enjoyed this course and learnt a lot. The text I used is written by a professor of UF and hence available on purchase.
